BRAVE Radcliffe youngster Beth Morris caught up with her old friend swimmer Adrian Turner to thank people for giving blood.
Beth (8), of Hollow Meadow, Ringley, first met the Commonwealth medallist after she battled against leukaemia and needed blood transfusions.
Adrian (27), from Prestwich, also needed blood when he was struck down by a rare illness where his body rejected his own blood. He has since become an ambassador for the National Blood Service.
The pair met up at a special screening of It's a Wonderful Life at the Filmworks Cinema in Manchester, held especially for local people who have given blood before Christmas.
Adrian said: "Thanks to donors I was able to compete at the Commonwealth Games, and the Athens Olympics this summer."
