HEATON Park Primary School opted for the traditional Nativity with a modern twist for their seasonal productions.
Junior pupils performed No Room For A Baby while the infants had their audience laughing with Are We Nearly There Yet.
Both productions at the school in Cuckoo Lane had plenty of singing and the junior production featured three soloists.
Headteacher Miss Maureen Gunnell said: "The two plays went down really well with parents. Both had a modern feel to them but managed to get across the true meaning of Christmas."
