WHAT a sick world we live in. Little did I think that I would be writing to you in this vein.
For years I have been quite willing to put down the bad behaviour of youngsters to their over-exuberance. But those days have gone, having been bombarded in my car with missiles thrown by teenagers gathering in the porch of Bolton Road Methodist Church, Bury, and then whilst walking along Bolton Road, running a gauntlet of bottles thrown at me by the occupants of passing cars. I can not see any real future for this generation of youngsters.
In relation to the teenagers congregating near the church, I have personal knowledge that they come from respectable homes and attend good schools. So what has gone wrong?
Being an OAP I thank my lucky stars that I was born when I was.
It would be interesting to read in this newspaper a letter of apology from these teenagers. In the meantime I am thankful that we have such things as Anti-Social Behaviour Orders.
