CRAIG Levein looks set to turn to Martin Keown in a bid to tighten up Leicester's leaky back line.

The Foxes pitch up at Turf Moor having kept just one clean sheet in six games and looking for their first win in five.

Defensive stalwart Keown, now in the twilight of his playing days, has featured just twice in that mini-blip - making his 750th career appearance in the 1-0 home defeat to Rotherham United on Boxing Day.

But boss Levein, who rested the 38-year-old ex-Arsenal stalwart for the Sheffield United game two days later, feels the time has come to call on experienced hands.

Levein said: "Martin is at the age where it would have been impossible for him to play two games in such a short period of time. But he has had a rest and he is back in contention, as is Nikos Dabizas.

"We will probably change it around again because this is another hard away fixture."

Levein is definitely without former Blackburn Rovers winger Keith Gillepsie, who was sent off against the Blades for violent conduct.

And he warned: "One thing we will need to do at Burnley is to keep 11 players on the pitch!"

Meanwhile, top scorer Lilian Nalis reckons City need to get 'back to basics' on New Year's Day.

The Foxes have suffered back-to-back defeats to Rotherham and Sheffield United, but Nalis believes that if City can get the fundamentals right, it will go a long way to securing a victory over the Clarets.

He said: "We got back to basics against Sheffield and we need to do that again against Burnley.

"They go into the game on the back of a victory over Wigan so they are in form.

"But we have got a lot of quality players at the club and if we get it right we have got more than a chance."
