THE breathtaking audacity of Janet Anderson (LET, December 27) in claiming that certain eligible children will, next year, receive a £250 cash start with an extra £250 for others, from the Labour Party, is as insulting as it is unbelievable.
That money has been extracted from the hard-working taxpayer and is yet a further instance of pre-election bribery -- on a part with third world politics -- in an attempt to safeguard the increasingly irrelevant jobs and sinecures of many of our surplus MPs.
