AN East Lancashire man remains in a critical condition several days after an explosion at a car repair workshop.
Police have named the three men who suffered serious burns in the blast at John Macadam and Son, North Valley Road, Colne, at 7.45am last Thursday.
They include Martin Wilde, of Clare Avenue, Colne, who was taken to a specialist burns unit at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, where his condition is described as critical but stable.
The two other victims are both out of danger.
John Smith, of Spring Cottage Farm, Trawden, was also transferred to Wythenshawe from Burnley General Hospital.
David Fretwell, of South Valley Drive, Colne, was rushed almost 300 miles by air ambulance to a specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex.
Mr Wilde and Mr Fretwell are employees of the workshop. Mr Smith is a milkman who was delivering to the premises.
