THE owners of a farm in Oswaldtwistle want to convert a barn so that it can be used to house their parcel delivery business.
Mr and Mrs Peach, of Magnolls Farm, Haslingden Old Road, also want to turn a milking parlour into a house, and a third building into livery stables with an indoor riding arena.
But their proposals to redevelop the farm have met with opposition from their neighbours.
Hyndburn Borough Council has received two letters of objection from local residents who are concerned about the number of vehicles that would be going in and out of the site with both a parcel delivery business and a livery operating.
The couple already run the parcel service from temporary buildings on the farm.
Friends of the Earth has also written to object to the plans.
But proposals for the farm, which were due to be discussed by the council's planning committee today, have been recommended for approval by borough planners.
