NORTH West Counties League Division Two side Padiham are hoping that former members, players, officials and friends of the club - along with current supporters - will back their scheme to raise funds.

The Storks need cash to allow officials to continue with their on-going ground development and facilities improvement project at their Arbories Memorial ground throughout 2005.

They are looking for £100 donations from individuals, groups or businesses which in turn will not only make them members of Padiham FC's '100 Club' but also give them four years membership of the club and free entrance to all Padiham's first and reserve team league games until July 31, 2008.

Club secretary and trustee Alan Smith said: "We first started the 100 Club back in 1999 to help finance work we were doing on our new clubhouse at the time.

"This membership ran out at the start of this season, so we have re-opened membership to help fund future ground improvements we have planned for 2005.

"It's a very simple and practical way that supporters of Padiham FC can help fund the work we are doing at the club and also we can use any finance raised to match fund grant applications we are in the process of making, which then brings in more funding."

Applications for 100 Club membership, or for further information on the scheme, can be otained from Padiham FC secretary and trustee Alan Smith at 242 Burnley Road, Padiham BB12 8SS or telephone 01282 771963.

All members of Padiham FC's 100 Club will have their names inscribed on a plaque which will be erected in the entrance to the clubhouse.
