BURNLEY Council staff will team up with staff and pupils from Gawthorpe High School to tackle litter in Gawthorpe Woods.
Council community environment officers Debbie Murray and Asif Iqbal and community wardens Mel Wilkinson-Walsh and Michael Holgate, will help in the clean-up.
The litter pick, on Monday, is in response to complaints from councillors and local residents.
Coun Dennis Otter, executive member responsible for the environment, said: "It is everyone's responsibility to make sure that the area in which they live is kept clean and tidy and Gawthorpe High School's involvement in this project is setting a good example for everyone in the borough."
Asif said: "We put the suggestion of a clean-up of the woods to the staff and pupils of the school and we have been overwhelmed by their enthusiasm."
