I AGREE with "A Resident" and his ode to Bury Council (Letters, January 6).
When you take a council house you agree to keep the inside in good condition, which I do. But my house is only 12 years old and the windows and doors are a disgrace.
What do we council tenants have to do to get these jobs done? Withold our rent? Why do we always have to argue the case with housing inspectors?
