THE theatre-going public of Atherton and Tyldesley, bolstered by the huge success of the New Garrett Theatre's tenth anniversary show, "Ten Years and the Show Goes On" are responding by buying record numbers of tickets for the theatre company's pantomime, "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".

Tickets sales have been through the roof for the panto, which runs until Saturday, January 15 at 7.15pm at Formby Hall, Atherton, with an extra matinee performance on Saturday at 2pm.

Show director: Yvonne Gerrard, said "I've never seen anything like it, we've sold more tickets for this show than for any we've ever done before."

"Goldilocks and the Three Bears" was specially written by local writer Steve Gerrity, and features a sequence with Chris Tarrant, the host of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?", which the star recorded specially for the pantomime.
