LEIGH CC have recruited Aussie all-rounder Aaron O'Connor for the new season.
Bolton-born O'Connor emigrated to Australia when he was two.
He is a forceful top order batsman and leg spin bowler who has been playing his club cricket in Western Australia.
Meanwhile Leigh have signed two more exciting youngsters.
Chris Read, 18, formerly played his cricket with Elton in the Bolton Association. He is a left handed batsman who also bowls left handed and he is keen to test himself in the Premiership next season.
Another newcomer is Oliver Newby, the young Lancashire player. This is a really positive move by the club who are looking to make the extra push towards a league championship next season. Oliver is currently playing Grade cricket in Australia but will be available for the start of the new season.
