THE National Blood Service is appealing to residents to make an extra new year's resolution - to save lives by becoming a blood donor.
They have organised two sessions in the area, the first (Thursday), January 13, at St Joseph's Hall, Leigh, and the second on January 22 at Tyldesley's Elliott Street Methodist Church between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
