FIREFIGHTERS freed a woman lorry driver after her vehicle was in collision with another truck on the slip road of the M66 at Heap Bridge.
The impact of the collision caused the woman to move forward in her cab, trapping her underneath the steering wheel. A fire crew removed the steering wheel and the woman was freed unscathed. The accident happened on the slip road of the south-bound carriageway at Junction Two.
