OBJECTIONS are being lodged against the siting of a phone mast in Holcombe Brook.
Mobile giants O2 have applied to install a 15-metre high flexicell column, three antennae and two equipment cabinet on land opposite the Hare and Hounds hotel on Bolton Road West.
Local councillor Dorothy Gunther has objected to the mast.
She said: "I have been contacted by local residents about the mast and I am objecting on health grounds as well as the location. I have seen masts more unsightly than the proposed one, but I think there are better locations for it, given its height and the surrounding area."
