AN ACCLAIMED Irish play hits the stage at Whitefield Garrick next weekend.
The Beauty Queen of Leenane, by Martin McDonagh, runs from Saturday, January 22 until Saturday, January 29 at the theatre in Bank Street, Whitefield.
Set in Ireland, the play tells the darkly comic tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman in her early 40s.
She lives with her manipulative, ageing mother Mag, who interferes with her daughter's first and possibly final chance at a loving relationship.
