PLANNING bosses will rule on whether a major housing development in Tottington on the site of a former car garage should be given the go-ahead next Tuesday.
An application has been submitted to build 18 two and three storey semi-detached and terraced houses as well as a block of six apartments on land at Bury Road and Sunnywood Lane.
The site was previously used as a petrol station, car repair and sales garage.
Planning officers have recommended the application be "minded to approve" at next week's meeting of the planning control committee, providing the applicants fund a recreation space and fulfil other conditions.
Three residents in nearby Calderwood Close have objected to the plans on the grounds that the site is higher than their houses and would mean a loss of privacy.
