A MOTHER-of-three has been banned from driving after admitting she was two times over the drink-drive limit on the night her car was in collision with a taxi.
Andrea Shaw, of Glenboro Avenue, Bury, was driving towards Ainsworth, along Higher Ainsworth Road, when the back of her BMW was hit by the taxi on July 26, Bury magistrates heard.
The court was told how both the taxi driver and Shaw were breathalysed by police at the scene and Shaw was found to be over the limit.
Shaw (28) was previously disqualified from driving in 1999 for a similar offence. She had only discovered later that a drink bought earlier in the day for her by a colleague had more alcohol in it than she had thought. She was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £220 with £104 costs .
