THE magnificent response by many countries and the public with money donations to aid the countless thousands hit by the tsunami in Asia shows concern and caring to men, women and children who have suffered.
But donations of money must be long term.
It will take years for these people to recover.
Fishermen have lost their livelihoods and tourism which was important to the countries devastated will affect everyone involved who survived the tsunami.
They have nothing.
If the public debits any amount affordable monthly to an aid agency, long term, the sooner the people affected will recover from their trauma.
