THE rise and fall of events at a Prestwich funeral home helped to raise £320 for a children's charity.
Events such as a sponsored paraglide and an autumn fair enabled Bailey's Funeral Home in Bury New Road to hand over a cheque to Francis House Children's Hospice.
Funeral director Lorraine Phillips, who works at Bailey's, undertook the 400ft sky-plunge challenge on holiday in Ibiza. The fundraising fair featured a variety of stalls, a tombola and lucky dip.
Steve Ormrod, funeral home manager, said: "I was really pleased to hand over our donation to such a worthwhile cause and would like to thank all those who attended the autumn fair and donated money to Lorraine for her paraglide. I hope that this money goes some way to helping Francis House continue their good work in 2005."
