A MAN has been charged with raping and assaulting a 13-year-old girl.
Stephen Holloway, 56, of Grange Street, Burnley, made a brief appearance at the town's magistrates court yesterday.
He is charged with two counts of rape and four of sexual assault on a teenager.
The charges all relate to the same girl and allegedly took place between August 1 and September 20 last year.
Magistrates sent the case to Preston Crown Court where Holloway will appear next Wednesday.
He was remanded on conditional bail.
