ON January 5, Bury College held an admirably respected three-minute silence for the 150,000 people killed by the recent Asian tsunami.
Why then don't they observe a visible two-minute silence at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month for the millions killed by strife since 1914?
Can anyone in authority explain what seems to be double standards?
