I AM amazed that the Football League can't come up with a better method of fixture selection for the bank holiday games.
Bury should be playing teams such as Chester, Macclesfield and Rochdale, not the likes of Shrewsbury, Lincoln and Oxford. All clubs, not just Bury, would benefit financially from a new system.
Clubs should have a "pot" of derby fixtures at this time. After all, a more local game than the recent Shrewsbury one would have meant less travelling time for supporters, and an earlier decision on any postponement.
I was absolutely furious after having helped clear snow off the pitch for the Shrewsbury game, to find it called off due to their travelling problems.
