DARWEN have boosted their attacking options with the capture of Lee Lyson.

The former Clitheroe midfielder has been signed by manager Steve Mullen in his latest statement that he's not afraid to make changes.

He did it for last week's game at Winsford United, but the promotion chasers proved too strong with a 3-0 win.

Mullen said: "I brought Liam Taylor in because we needed a little bit more pace up front.

"He did have a good game in the second half, but we were already 2-0 down and they closed the shop up and held out.

"You have to make changes whether you win or lose, the previous result is irrelevant.

"I took a squad of 16 and I've got more than 20 coming to training so there are lots of options and it's great to see so much team spirit in the camp."

The next Division Two test for Mullen comes at home to Cheadle Town tomorrow.
