RADCLIFFE will host an international women's week in March.

Community groups in the town will be holding workshops, group sessions and presentations and are asking for ideas and volunteers to help organise the week, from Monday, March 7, to Saturday, March 12.

Glynis Brandwood, from the community resource centre in Church Street West, said: "We want to have this event in Radcliffe but we need lots of ideas for what people would like to do and take part in.

"We want to put on an event that people will get involved in and have some input."

It is also hoped that the event will help find Radcliffe's Woman of the Year, a new idea to honour a community member for the hard work they do.

For more information or to put forward ideas for the week, contact Glynis on 723 0109. Nominations for the Radcliffe Woman of the Year can be made on the same number.
