ROCK media group Kerrang hope to bring the noise to Manchester in more ways than one.
The firm is currently bidding for an FM licence to broadcast around the city after a trial run last year.
It will also be hosting an unsigned bands night next Wednesday with the winners to be featured on the proposed station's airplay list.
The event, held in the Late Room at 8pm, will give three north west bands the chance to wow Manchester's influential music industry figures and the general public.
Bands playing are - Change Nothing (Coldplay-like), The Trickster (who are into both Radiohead and Rage against the Machine) and Circle Of Silence (soft/agressive rock).
