A GROUP of talented teenagers took to the stage to raise money for charity.

In a show entitled Born2Perform, the singers, dancers and musicians performed at the Park Hotel in Lowther Road, Prestwich.

The performance included pop and rock songs, including Pinks Get This Party Started and I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston. The evening, which also featured a debut performance by the band Nameless, managed to raise £200 for the 19th Prestwich Scout Group and Fairfield Hospitals Special Care Baby Unit.

The teenagers, aged between 14 and 16, got together under the Born2Perform banner after realising they shared a desire to show off their talents. Some of the youngsters had performed before in Gang Shows by the 19th Prestwich Scout Group and wanted to branch out on their own as they got older.

Their debut show went down a storm with the audience at the Park Hotel and plans are already in the pipeline for another show in March.
