A BANK has come to the aid of Daneshouse Football Club by donating a complete set of coaching kit and equipment.
The award to the club, which has teams for nine to12-years-olds, has been made as part of the £30m grassroots sports programme, Barclays Spaces for Sports.
The donation, which was being made today, is one of 1,200 packs being awarded each year to ensure teams across the UK will benefit from the three-year scheme.
The club aims to develop football in the area strong anti-racism projects.
Afrasiab Anwar, club manager and coach said: "We are delighted with the much needed kit donation from Barclays.
It is brilliant that they are supporting grassroot sports."
Burnley MP Peter Pike said: "This is great news for grassroots football.
"Daneshouse football club are doing an excellent job and this support from Barclays is good news for them."
