A HOUSING developer which was this week given permission to start work on 17 homes in Tockholes Road, Darwen, has revealed it also plans to build similar houses in Spring Gardens.
Hampshire Associates, of Duckworth Street, Darwen, has joined forces with Clitheroe-based IWA Architects once again to come up with proposals for eight houses on the 'brownfield' site near the town centre.
If permission is granted for the development, it would include two and three-storey houses with access to them by a pedestrianised terrace.
Car parking would be hidden below the houses and the architects have designed them in order to maximise the back garden while providing a safe car-free play area in front of the houses.
A ramp and stairs would give access to the development, which would include some executive-style housing.
