Robins cruelly denied a point
FLEETWOOD T 3
GT HARWOOD T 2
GREAT Harwood Town almost secured an unlikely point against NWCL Division One pace-setters Fleetwood Town, however their brave second half fightback proved to be in vain.
Dave Sharples' side, who prop up the league table with only seven points to their name, went into the interval a goal down courtesy of a 32nd minute strike by the Fleetwood's new signing Ian Stevens.
Lee Catlow doubled the hosts advantage from the penalty spot shortly after the restart, but two goals in 10 minutes from O'Neill and Darren Rodgers saw the Robins claw themselves level.
However, with just over 10 minutes remaining, Phil Thompson grabbed the winner for Fleetwood and consign Great Harwood to yet another cruel defeat.
