COUNCILLOR Dorothy Gunther referred in her recent letter to the level of government grant given to Bury.
In the last year of the last Tory Government Bury's grant was cut by one per cent.
Under Labour there have been annual increases of 8, 5, 4.5, 2.5, 7, 8, 8.5 and 5 per cent respectively. This has resulted in an extra £56 million of government investment in Bury.
Coun Gunther's Tory party voted against every penny of this new investment. Any more comments on government grant, Dorothy?
