LEIGH MP Andy Burnham has signed up to run for the Asian Tsunami Appeal.
He will join members of Leigh Harriers, Astley and Tyldesley Road Runners and the Wigan Development Unit on a three mile fun run around Leigh.
The race on Sunday, March 6, was the idea of harrier Susan Lucas, and all money donated will go to the Oxfam Disaster Appeal.
All runners will receive a medal donated by Moran's Trophies.Entry forms will be available at the Leigh Journal Office, Andy Burnham's Market Street, Leigh, office, Moran's Trophies, Railway Road, Leigh Library, sports clubs and shops.
Sponsor forms will also be available for those unable to run but wishing to offer support. Entry will be £5, £2.50 for under 14s, and should be made payable to Leigh Harriers and AC. Forms should be sent to Sarah Lucas, 75, Sydney Avenue, Leigh, WN7 3LT.
Late entry will cost £1 extra on the day when registration will take place at the Charles Street track at 9.30am.
