LEIGH Athletic's miserable run continued as they travelled to Oldham and came away with nothing after a hard fought 3-1 defeat.
With the scores level at half time it was all to play for but Springhead drew first blood when they scored shortly after the break. Leigh responded well and levelled when Andy Miller fired home. But it was not to be as Sprinhead scored two in the last twenty minutes to ruin Leighs day.
The reserves went down 3-0 to a strong Prestwich side. The third team kept up their promotion hopes with a fine 4-0 win at Stockport, the goals coming from Ryan Dunn, Ben Cooke, Mark Smith and a late goal from substitute Neil Partington.
