A FAMILY bible dating back more than 100 years has turned up in Leigh.
Now the new owner Bernard Cox, wants to re-unite it with it's original family.
The bible contains the names of James Henry Ivill who was born in Pendlebury in 1888 and his wife Alice Elizabeth who was born in Bristol. The couple were married at Atherton Parish Church on May 14, 1910.
Mr Cox says there are other relatives listed, many living in the Tyldesley and Leigh areas. "It's obviously a family heirloom and I think it should be returned to the Ivill family," he says.
Mr Cox can be contacted on 01942-208680 between 7-9pm any evening.
