A PENSIONER is recovering in hospital after receiving scalp burns when her hair caught fire.
The 62-year-old woman sustained the injuries at Ainsworth Nursing Home in Knowsley Road, Ainsworth, on Wednesday night. Emergency services attended the incident around 10.30pm, and took the woman to Fairfield Hospital.
Police described her injuries as minor scalp burns, saying the incident was being classed as accidental.
