A DINNER and dance hosted by the Mayor of Bury, Radcliffe Councillor Barry Briggs, served up £1,000 for charity.
The mayor and his wife the mayoress, Coun Sharon Briggs, joined 200 guests for the dinner at Radcliffe Civic Suite last Friday night (18), along with representatives of the mayor's charities, Bury Hospice and Fairfield Baby Lifeline.
Members of the Radcliffe Carnival Committee organised raffles and tombolas throughout the evening to raise money.
