LOCAL historian Ian Pringle will lead a walk and talk around Philips Park in Whitefield on Sunday.
Ian, who is chairman of Prestwich Heritage Society, will be pointing out archaeological relics around the local nature reserve and the much older, mediaeval Pilkington Park which only lives on in the name of an electoral ward in the town.
The guided walk starts at 2pm from the barn countryside centre in the park, covering a mile and a half, and lasting approximately two-and-a-half hours.
