A DRIVER was recently fined £80 for parking with car wheels on the pavement in Ruislip, Middlesex.
Hillingdon Council said "Parking attendants are instructed to issue parking tickets where they see vehicles with one or more wheels on the pavement or a verge unless exemptions apply."
So why is it in my area motorists day in, day out flaunt this law by parking their cars half on and sometimes fully on the pavements and nobody does a thing about this illegal practice?
It is like a minefield sometimes in my area trying to negotiate the footpaths.
It is only a matter of time before a fatality occurs.
I have even stood and waited while a car has driven across the footpath in front of me to get back into the road.
May I emphasise the council footpaths are there for the safety of pedestrians and not for motorists to use as and when they feel fit.
So come on police.
Get these rogue motorists booked and stop treading softly, softly.
