THREE men were arrested after a man was left with facial injuries following an assault in Leigh.
The 30-year-old victim was taken to the Wigan Royal Infirmary suffering from cuts, bruising and swelling to his face. He was then transferred to Manchester Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
Police were called to a disturbance on Warrington Road, opposite the Bulls Head Hotel, in Leigh, shortly before 12.30am, on Friday. Two men, aged 18 and 20, were later arrested on suspicion of assault and a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, drink driving and giving police false details.
