A CAR stolen from Prestwich was used in a post office robbery in Bury two days later.
A Mazda 626 GLX, stolen on February 17, was the getaway vehicle for two armed raiders who burst into Huntley Brook post office in Bell Lane, Bury, last Saturday morning.
The thugs, wielding a machete and sledgehammer, threatened customers and smashed a glass counter before fleeing with the till containing a large amount of cash.
The Mazda was abandoned and set ablaze a short time later in nearby Myrtle Gardens.
