WHAT has happened to Bury Football Club?
In the period between 1996 and 1999 they must have made more money than in the previous 20 years.
With player sales totalling more than £4 million (Kiely, Lucketti, Butler, Johnson, Jackson, Hughes), attendances at a 15-year high, plus the five or so games we were on Sky, you would have thought that Bury FC would be secure for forseeable future.
I don't know what happened to the money but the fact that the Shakers are in such a financial state now can only be described as a disgrace.
The recent departure of club steward Ian Fitzsimmons after 20 years of loyal service is yet another reason that I am losing my passion for this once fine club.
The current management doesn't seem to have a clue and we have the worst set of players seen at Gigg Lane in many a long year. I can't see much to look forward to.
