COUNCILLOR Derek Boden's defence of the EU Constitution would have more validity if the EU got its finances in order.
Coun Boden also fails to point out the flexibility clause contained in the Constitution. This allows the EU to adopt new powers not currently set out in the Constitution.
Of course the UK Parliament can object to EU law and the EU Commission can then completely ignore that objection. All this new EU Constitution will do is to hang more and more regulations around our necks, with a greater loss of British freedoms.
