MY FAMILY and I lived in the Lancaster area for most of our lives but emigrated to Canada a year ago in the hope of improving our lives - which we feel we are starting to do so.

My husband is working for a haulage company in the city but aims to launch his own lawn and leisure business in the near future - and we have established a bed & breakfast at our Deerview Lodge home to help others intent on moving to Saskatchewan.

We cannot get over how lovely it is but the one thing we miss about home is the people of the Lancaster area - not to mention unsmoked bacon, stuffing and gravy granules.

But we decided to write to tell you that even here in Canada we have a sense of feeling at home through being able to read the Lancaster and Morecambe Citizen via the internet. For this, we thank you.

How brilliant it is to have the web to enable us to tell you how much we appreciate the paper.

If anyone intends visiting Canada please give us a call. It would be great to talk to someone from our local area.

Also, please pass on our best wishes to family, friends and everyone in the Lancaster area.

Neil & Gillian Bruce, Lumsden, Saskatchewan.
