RESIDENTS in Prestwich and Whitefield are being asked to take part in the first ever Hug Quiz.
Hug, which stands for Helping Unite Generations, has been created by Help the Aged in an attempt to make people aware of older people who may be experiencing loneliness and also to raise funds for the charity.
The quiz aims to bring family, friends and colleagues together with its mix of questions based on a "generations" theme. It is supported by celebrity Quizmaster Chris Tarrant, and aims to be the biggest intergenerational quiz in history.
As well as participating in the quiz, people can host their own Hug quiz in homes, schools, pubs or workplaces during April.
Hug day is being celebrated on April 22, and anyone needing further information can contact the Hug hotline on 0870 770 3288 or visit the website www.allhug.org.uk.
