RADCLIFFE Athletic club's annual 12 mile trail race around the Irwell Valley, takes place this Sunday, February 27.
Starting from the Mason's Arms on Sion Street, the race has already attracted 120 entries.
Last year's winner, Michael Aspinall, has entered and looks favourite to retain his title, as the Radcliffe lad is currently in sparkling form.
The race starts at 10.30am, and the sight of all the runners belting out the early pace over the Radcliffe viaduct near the Asda store will be quite spectacular.
They then go down the Nature Trail, ending up at Agecroft Road bridge. They return through Clifton Country Park and Stoneclough before following the canal back to Sion Street and the Mason's Arms.
The contact for entries to this challenging event is Bill Armstrong: 0161) 724 6692.
