A POPULAR Bury pub has scooped a sensational hat-trick of culinary honours.
The Swan Hotel on Tottington Road has been named as the area winner of Daniel Thwaites Brewery's catering pub of the year - its third culinary success in as many years after twice finishing runner-up in the kitchen and hygiene awards.
Licensee Sue Joyce, who has fronted the pub for more than ten years, was full of praise for her committed kitchen staff.
"We have a great team here headed up by experienced chef Margaret Hamilton," she said. "We serve proper home-made food and there's no doubt that customers can really taste the difference.
"Our trade is increasing year on year and this award recognises the Swan's dedication to serving food of the highest standard."
