TONY Battersby made his first apearance for almost six months in the recent Chorley 4.

The Astley and Tyldesley Road Runners member, who had been out after hernia surgery, made a great return finishing 23rd in 22.09. Brian Lucas scooped another prize by finishing 1st V55 in 24.13. Cheryl Lucas 34.29, Melanie Jones 36.51 and Suzanne Higson 37.29 made their first starts since joining the club and recorded encouraging times. Gary Stevens 24.35, Craig Bradbury 25.44, Paul Butler 26.54, Gareth Williams 29.24, Nick Hurst 29.51, Susan Mitchinson 32.27 completed the line up.
