PARAMEDICS joined forces to pull an ambulance for 1km in aid of the Haiti Appeal yesterday.
The North West Ambulance Service Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) took the challenge on a runway at BAE Systems in Balderstone, Ribble Valley to help victims of the natural disaster.
HART paramedic, Ian Hepburn, said: “After watching news reports on the devastation caused by the earthquake, myself and my colleagues got together to decide what we could do to help.
“We understand the importance of having hygiene kits and medicine to prevent further deaths through disease and we hope that the money raised will go some way to help with the massive challenges the people of Haiti now face.”
