THE woodwork at Padiham Town Hall is to be refurbished.
The town council is to seek permission from Burnley Council, the building’s owners, to carry out work on the wood.
Coun Jeremy Billinger said: “The woodwork is not in a terrible state but I think it needs doing for two reasons.
“Firstly to preserve it, but if we are also going to offer the council chamber out for weddings then it needs to be in the best possible condition.”
A local cabinet maker has offered his expertise on the project to the council for free.
