ACCRINGTON Market Hall’s new internet cafe is being hailed as a perfect business opportunity for local entrepreneurs.

The council and the ‘No Limits’ programme are transforming the upper part of the market hall into a bustling business hub, which will also house an eatery providing internet services.

Hyndburn Borough Council leader Coun Peter Britcliffe is calling on local business people to become part of the new enterprise by running the new eatery or opening a craft shop there in the new year.

He said: “This is a superb opportunity for someone to get in right at the start of this exciting new venture.

“The seating area for the café will be on the new mezzanine balcony enjoying great views over the busy market hall below.

“People will be able to get to it either by lift or the new Victorian style staircase, which will be installed soon.”

The venture is part of the Victorian market’s £1.5m transformation where the galleries, which were once used as reading rooms, will house specialist businesses, like jewellers and arts and crafts.
